CKaTT MIDGET WINS SILVER IN ONTARIO CUP
 

May 15, 2007, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. 

THE 2007 ONTARIO CUP SILVER MEDALISTSCKaTT Midget Division (boys age 15 and under) brought home the Silver Medal in the 2007 Ontario Cup's Midget Division Tournament held in Kiingston, Ontario on May 11-13, 2007.

Ranked 39th in a field of 66 teams that competed in the 2007 Basketball Ontario season, CKaTT was grouped in Pool B of the Midget Division 3 with three other teams.  They won all their Pool games beating Guelph Phoenix #1 on Friday night, 62-49, the Oxford Attack #2, 82-56 on Saturday morning and the number 1 seeded team in their pool, York Region Avengers, 77-69 later that afternoon.

In the playoffs on Saturday evening, CKaTT played against the second placer of Pool C, Borden Jets and won 61-42 to earn a return ticket to the gym for Sunday's finale.

WITH PROUD PARENTS AND SUPPORTERSCKaTT played against the hitherto unbeaten Whitby Saints in the semi-finals on Sunday morning paving the way for a Gold Medal showdown against the Durham City Bulldogs #2 who won all their previous five games just like CKaTT.  The championship game on Sunday afternoon was close and tight and the final outcome was decided only in overtime. Durham won by a score of 72-66.

Congratulations to the following members of CKaTT's Midget team for a very impressive season performance: Daniel Anupol (25), Joel Brown (24), Kevin Cabioc (33), Enzo Caleon (11), Ryan Goberdhan (23), Lamar MacLean (15), Daniel Magpantay (3), Jim Ochinang (8), Aaron Pantaleon (7), Nigel Spencer-Hart (13), Darnell Spencer Hart (9) and Magic Tan (1). Coaches: Ronald Baello, Rodel Pantaleon and Jun Cabioc. Manager: Patty Anupol.  Jim Ochinang (#8) was awarded the Basketball Ontario's Hustle Award in the tournament.
