NABA
Toronto has officially unveiled its website at
http://www.nabatoronto.net for the upcoming 20th Annual
Inter-City North American Basketball Association (NABA) tournament
to be held in Mississauga, Ontario from August 31 to September 2,
2007.
In cooperation with
the Mississauga Tourism, Dolce and CKaTT Basketball, NABA Toronto
hopes to provide the best facilities for this annual Labour Day
Madness' Basketball tournament in this beautiful suburban city in
the Greater Toronto area. Mississauga is ranked as Canada's sixth
largest city located in the shores of Lake Ontario and home to over
600,000 residents roughly four percent of which are of Filipino
ancestry.
NABA is a
non-profit organization which coordinates an annual Labour Day
basketball tournament for athletes of Filipino ancestry. Founded in
1986, it is supported by volunteers from various cities throughout
the northeast regions of America (U.S. and Canada). Its week-end
tournament is expected to attract more than 1,700 players and over
6,000 guests from all over North America.
Delta Meadowvale
Resort and Conference Centre is the official host hotel for the 2007
Tournament. Games will be played at the University of Toronto
Mississauga gym and various gym locations in and around Mississauga.
